The Role of Autophagy in the deregulation of immune responses
The Role of Autophagy in the deregulation of immune responses
Assistant Professor Dr. Monique Gannagé, Department of Pathology and Immunology, School of Medicine, University of Geneva
Our research aims to understand how autophagy regulates the immune response in autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, specifically in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). This will increase the understanding of the basic mechanisms and the role of autophagy in arthritis diseases and may be the first step towards the development of new methods of treatment, prevention or even a cure for adults and children suffering from inflammatory forms of arthritis.
